As a cabin crew member, you are constantly learning new things and gaining valuable experience. Every day presents new challenges, and each flight is an opportunity to learn something new. Here are some lessons that I have learned while flying!
Being a cabin crew member is a demanding job that requires a lot of patience. There are often long hours and difficult situations that can test even the most patient person. Angry passengers, delays, flight cancellations, discrepancies in catering, mean colleagues, the list just goes on... That is why one of the most important lessons I've learned is to be patient. Things can change at the drop of a hat in this business, and you have to be able to go with the flow. It's not always easy, but it's important to keep a cool head and be patient.
I think another valuable lesson I've learned while flying is to appreciate the little things in life and be grateful for everything that we have. It's so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life and forget to stop and smell the roses, so to speak.
Traveling gave me a possibility to explore different cultures and face the reality that some of them are living in. It was a bit of a shock when I first saw the standard of living in some of the countries. Yet people seemed genuinely happy with the little they have. The emotions, smiles and the memories we shared will stay with me for the rest of my life. When you're traveling, everything seems so much simpler and you're able to take a step back and really appreciate all the good things in your life.
As a cabin crew, I had the unique opportunity to travel the world and see amazing places. I made sure to take advantage of this opportunity! See as many places as I could and learn as much as I could about different cultures. This is an experience that I will never forget.
I'm constantly learning new things. There's always something new to learn. And I've found that the most successful people are the ones who are always willing to learn new things. They're not afraid of change, and they're always looking for ways to improve. In many cases, it's simply that successful people take advantage of every opportunity that comes their way. They don't let life pass them by – they seize it with both hands. So it is important to remind yourself, that being a cabin crew is a unique opportunity, that allows you to be at the right place at the right time with the right people that might change your life.

Being one step ahead and anticipating the needs of your passengers is a key part of being a cabin crew member. During my time flying, I've learned a lot of valuable lessons that have helped me become a better cabin crew member and anticipate the needs of my passengers.
One of the most important lessons I've learned is to always be one step ahead. This means being prepared for anything that might happen and being aware of what passengers might need. This can be anything from having extra snacks and drinks, to being prepared for medical emergencies. During my flying career I have been exposed to a large number of people, which helped me in better understanding of their needs while observing them, studying their characters, having a conversation and figuring out what they want.
It is easy to judge people based on first impressions, but it is important to remember that everyone has a story. As cabin crew members, we see all sorts of people from all walks of life, and I have learned valuable lessons about not jumping into conclusions.
By actively listening and engaging in conversations, remaining curious and open-minded gives us a possibility that there is something about the person or the situation we don't know. Just because someone comes from a different background or has a different lifestyle does not mean that they are a bad person. This experience as a cabin crew member taught me an important lesson - to stay humble, kind and never judge a book by its cover.
Smile can go a long way. It is a language of compassion that may be spoken by anyone, regardless of where they come from. While flying I faced the fact that some passengers don't speak any English. It seemed challenging at first but I discovered that having a genuine smile and using an open body language can be a great solution to a problem. Smile gives comfort and will never leave anyone indifferent. This is an important lesson that can be applied to many aspects of life - smiling unconditionally can make a difference in the way people interact with you and how they perceive you.

Flying is an amazing experience, and I am grateful for all the lessons that I have learned while being a cabin crew. It is important to remember that being a cabin crew member is a unique opportunity that allows you to be at the right place at the right time with the right people. Seize every opportunity that comes your way, be prepared for anything, and always be one step ahead in order to be ready for whatever the future might hold. These lessons have helped me both professionally and personally, and I am sure they will continue to serve me well in the future.
